item number: c88875Microraptor was a small, carnivorous winged dinosaur from the forest areas of China that lived in the early Cretaceous 120 million years ago. His name means little robber. It
was one of the smallest non-avian dinosaurs, just 1.2 meters long.
Its long legs consisted of both flight feathers and wings. It is believed
that he was able to fly as well as glide. Some genera had iridescent black feathers, which CollectA has tried to uniquely reproduce in its model. A major museum in China
which is exhibiting the original model had specifically asked CollectA to recreate this dinosaur
and has released it - due to its accuracy.
