Figurine comparison

Which figurines suit me or my children?

What are the differences?

Which manufacturer produces best figurines?

These are just a few of the possible questions you will ask yourself when choosing over 3500 figurines.

We took a closer look at a figure that every manufacturer has in its range: the fox.

Result in alphabetical order:

Bullyland: 64445

Length: 7.5 cm, facial expression: sweet, realistic painting, material very pleasant, light, flexible.
Unfortunately, the face painting on our test sample looks very imprecise. The Bullyland Fuchs, on the other hand, can score with the realistic painting of the body and the very pleasant material.

CollectA: 88001

Length: 6cm, facial expression: lovely, very reddish painting, therefore somewhat unrealistic, material somewhat rigid.
Even if the figure looks rigid, we find the test copy as a whole very successful due to the great face painting.

Mojo Fun: 7028

Length: 7cm, facial expression: lovely, simple painting, rigid material.
The face is painted quite precisely, but the painting looks quite simple and not multicolored and flowing and therefore not realistic, as can be found with other figures in the same price range.

Papo: 53020

Length: 9cm, facial expression: cheeky, simple painting, material moderately rigid.
Unfortunately, the overall impression of the preview copy of Papo is of little quality due to the glossy painting and therefore it looks a bit unrealistic. The moderately rigid material, however, stands out positively.

Safari Ltd: 2737

Length: 8.5 cm, facial expression: sweet, childlike painting, rigid material.
Due to the childish - and therefore less realistic painting and the rigid material - the test sample offers room for improvement.

Schleich: 14782

Length: 8cm, facial expression: sweet, realistic painting, material rigid.
Both the body painting and the face look very realistic with our test fox. Even if the material looks a bit rigid, the Schleich Fuchs is a very successful figure.

In a nutshell:

Children probably choose Schleich's product, not least because of the brand name, but also because of the realistic overall impression of the figure. However, children are less demanding when painting and therefore parents should also pay attention to all other manufacturers. Bullyland clearly has the edge in terms of the material, while the face painting at CollectA is one of the most successful figures. Papo will surely be the first choice due to the childish painting of smaller children. While educators certainly prefer the fox from Schleich or CollectA, collectors should take a look at all figures from any manufacturer when buying in the store. Since each figure is hand-painted, there are sometimes big differences, especially when it comes to painting the smallest details such as eyes and nose, etc.

Factory outlet:

We are currently not aware of any factory outlet or even second hand sale. The most important reason is that the manufacturers do not want to bring inferior products on the market to meet their own quality standards, but of course also to protect their brand. Because only satisfied customers come back!
