item number: c88878The Nonius (Hungarian: Nóniusz) is a Hungarian breed of horse. Generally it is dark colored and
features a muscular and heavy build. It was originally bred to serve the
Hungarian military as a draft and utility horse. After the war, they didn´t have as much
use for the horses and so many of these animals ended up at the slaughterhouse. Nowadays, the
breed is bred by conservationists and used in agriculture, recreational riding and
competitive racing.
