The Siberian tiger is the largest predatory cat in the world. From the tip of its nose to the tip of its tail, it can grow over 10 feet long.
The tiger´s stripes are as varied and unique as fingerprints. Even the skin underneath is striped. At first glance, the striking pattern hardly seems to be advantageous. After all, the tiger does not want to be immediately discovered by its prey. When the tiger goes hunting at dusk, however, it is perfectly camouflaged with the stripes. They appear like tall grass moving in the wind or fleeting shadows. Unlike many other cats and felines, the tiger swims well and gladly. Therefore, the water is not a safe place for many prey.
Tiger babies come into the world with blue eyes.
