item number: c88907The common pearl boat - it is also called a ship´s boat - was originally thought to be a
living fossil. But closer examination has revealed that it is very different from
other -early- ammonites. In fact, 10 different
genera hide behind this designation. The common pearl boat was recognized as an endangered species and
was therefore reason enough for CollectA to make a model of it. Very beautifully worked out
were here the tentacles, which have no suction cups in the common pearl boat.
