rope-shaped keel runs centrally. So the name also means ribbed horn. They were fast-moving
carnivores and lived in the seas of what is now Britain, Algeria, Austria, France,
Germany, Spain, and Canada in the late Jurassic period about 189-183 million years ago. The
shells of the various genera can reach up to 14cm in diameter.
